Insurance survey of "Atomflot"

15 - 18 April 2013 there was held an insurance survey of the coastal base and the atomic - Technology Services courts. The survey was led by S. Babenko - Deputy Technical Director of the Russian Association of the Nuclear Insurers (RANI) of the Russian Nuclear Insurance Pool (RNIP). The committee included representatives from RANI,from the insurance group "SOGAZ" and the General Inspectorate of the State Corporation "Rosatom".

One of the main objectives of the survey was to assess the insurance risk for the insurance obligations "Atomflot" in relation to a third party. At the opening meeting the General Director of the company V. Ruksha briefed the Commission with information on the current status and future directions of the "Atomflot" activity. Survey was made in accordance with the previously launched program that included: study of the documentation, interviews with managers and specialists of the fleet, visit to the objects of the coastal base and radiological repair crafts "Lotta" and "Serebryanka."

At the final meeting, the head of the survey noted that "Atomflot" reached an acceptable level of security of the state of the equipment, buildings and structures, the organization operating the nuclear and radiation safety of the objects of the coastal base and radiological repair crafts. Inspectors also expressed some recommendations for improving the activity of the enterprise. The final report on the results of the survey will be provided within three months.
