MNTK-2016

May 25-27, 2016 Rosenergoatom Concern JSC held the Tenth International Scientific and Technical Conference «Safety, Efficiency and Economics of Nuclear Power Industry» (MNTK-2016).

The purpose of the Conference was to provide the attendees with the opportunity to discuss the following:

• Ensuring the priority of the NPP operation safety;

• Increasing the economical efficiency of nuclear power units performance;

• Nuclear power units life extension;

• RW and SNF management; provisions for nuclear power units decommissioning;

• Nuclear power engineering development through construction and commissioning of new generation units, development and implementation of advanced designs, including those related to the closed fuel cycle.

RNIP and RANI were represented by Mr. Anatoliy Nikitin, Deputy Technical director.

During their working meetings the Conference participants also discussed the issues regarding NTPL insurance for operating organizations in accordance with Vienna Convention of 1963, developments in nuclear industry and operational risks of NPPs in Russia and abroad.
